How simple events, news and mundane issues can alter your Perspective
Few weeks back, i was listening to a political analyst give his take on how the Covid Crisis would affect the political future of our country
I kept on hearing that 4 yrs is a long time for the ruling government
4 yrs, Felt a long time to me personally.
It resonated very strongly with me for the following personal reasons:
- I turned 65 on the 11th of April
- My grand daughter, Inaaya would be 7 yrs 6 months, 4 yrs from now, while i will be 69
Whereas, 69 will definitely be the onset of significant slowing down of everything for me, from Reflexes, Agility, Memory, Social interactions, etc.
7yrs 6 months for Inaaya would be the fountain age of increasing possibilities:
Learning, Relationships, Exploration, Personality, Adoption of lifestyle, Social skills, etc
Since that night i have a profound urge to make every minute count.
Not that i didnt know this important fact of life – To make every minute count.
But, we all wait for the right time, auspicious day, failure, accident, etc to bring about realizations to self motivate
It is said that the greatest 2 motivators in life are: FEAR & REVENGE
Let us not wait and search for such motivators to change our perspective,
